Taylor Maurice

Taylor serves in a dual role as Assistant Director for the Charles Warren Center for Studies in American History and Manager of Academic Affairs for the Department of History.

In the Charles Warren Center, Taylor sets administrative direction for the center alongside the faculty director. She will be working to set strategic priorities, organize committee staffing, and will oversee the administration of all CWC fellowship programs, including recruitment for the faculty and postdoctoral fellowships.

In the Department of History, Taylor oversees departmental initiatives and symposia (Harvard in 1776 for 2026-2027). She is the departmental point-person for academic affairs, faculty recruitment, promotions, onboarding, leaves, and other faculty affairs functions. She also partners with the History DAO on History staff recruitment, engagement, and training.

Taylor has the pleasure of supervising the Administrative Coordinator for History and the Charles Warren Center.

Taylor received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Literature and Creative Writing (with a Psychology minor) from Harvard Extension School. She previously worked across Harvard in Houghton Library, the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, the Social Sciences Administrative Support Group with AAAS and Economics, and History. She has previous experience as an editor at an academic publisher. Taylor enjoys reading and coastal life with her husband, Tim. She also had the honor of working at Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House: Home of Little Women for over 10 years and volunteers at the Scituate Animal Shelter.
