Visiting Scholar in the Charles Warren Center for Studies in American History
Natalie Zacek is Senior Lecturer (advanced associate professor equivalent) in American Studies at the University of Manchester. Her first monograph, Settler Society in the English Leeward Islands, 1670-1776 (Cambridge University Press, 2010), won the Royal Historical Society’s Gladstone Prize. She is completing a book manuscript on the place of horse-racing in nineteenth-century American history, and while at the Warren Center will be working on a book with the working title The Price of Knowledge: British Universities and Slavery.
